We talk about the gowns and who is with who and just have a great time. (As long as you don't talk during the speeches!) Over the years we have shared a lot of things: babies being born, loss of parents, health scares and loss of friends. I am so very grateful for each of these ladies. Where have I been - at the Oscars!
Well okay not the real Oscars but close enough. Each year two of my friends in my neighborhood host a wonderful Oscars party. They make up invites and ballots for each of us to vote for our favorites. There is a red carpet and lots of snacks and drinks. We each come in our PJs. (this year some of our friends forgot that point. Not mentioning and names here.)

Oh, for Gods sake!!! I just wanted to comment and now I had to set up a blog (monk-cvm124). Boy oh boy, I was going to talk about how one good friend deserves another but I am really considering this differently!!
